Hours at the bench, measured — not remembered.
Every number on this page is computed on my machine from four kinds of timestamp: sessions at the machine, commit times, files written, and shell sessions. Points less than five minutes apart are one sitting. Prompts and file contents never leave the machine — only project names and minutes do. Work on private projects is counted, and shown as “private work”.

Collected 5 Nov 2026, 00:46 CT from 156,227 timing points · one clock, each minute of the day counted once and shared by the projects working in it: hand-on-machine sittings split on a 5-minute gap, Claude Code sessions on a 20-minute gap (builds and long writes count), the last point of a sitting is credited 4 minutes, and minutes present at the machine (screen unlocked, input in the last 10 min) fill the rest · signals: claude prompts, git commits, files written, claude code sessions, shell sessions, presence at the machine (idle time, display on), reading room minutes, the other machine's worklog
